The changes introduced by the Localism Act, in particular the 'presumption in favour of sustainable development', has put renewed pressure on local authorities to make swift progress on adopting or updating Local Plans. I can assist you in developing the vision for your area through the preparation or updating of your strategic policies and through the preparation of Area Action Plans for areas where major change is anticipated. 

I can also assist in negotiating complex large scale developments, and have particular experience in negotiating Section 106 Agreements. I can act as a 'critical friend' in the development of master plans and planning briefs for major sites, and I am also able to provide ongoing design review of major projects as they progress through the development management process. 

Creative interaction with local communities through the emerging Neighbourhood Planning regime is becoming ever more important, and I can provide independent facilitation for community workshops and public meetings.
