Government-sponsored report on Cambridge's New Neighbourhoods is published
A review of Cambridge's new neighbourhoods has been published with support from the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government. New Neighbourhoods in Cambridge looks back at the origins of the recent growth strategy for Cambridge that has made Cambridge the fastest-growing city in the UK while also winning eleven national housing design awards. It looks in particular at the role that the Cambridgeshire Quality Panel for Growth has played in securing high quality design. The report examines six of the new neighbourhoods that have emerged over the past fifteen years and draws lessons, both good and bad, that are applicable more widely to the future growth of cities.
