Peter elected for a further term to TCPA's Policy Council
Peter has been re-elected to the Policy Council of the Town and Countyr Planning Association for a further three year term. The results of the ballot were announced at thre TCPA's AGM on 24th June. Here is an extract from his election statement:
'I am seeking re-election to the TCPA’s Policy Council because I believe that the TCPA is well placed to influence the current chaotic state of national planning policy and to bring some urgency into the debate about the UK’s housing crisis. A particular priority should be to ensure that whichever party wins the 2015 general election has a coherent vision for reintroducing a formal framework for strategic planning in England. The TCPA needs to campaign to ensure that a future Government gives genuine powers to cities and economic sub-regions to enable bold decisions to be made about how and where growth should be accommodated and how infrastructure should be funded.'
